All-on-4 Dental Implants in Vietnam: Complete 2026 Guide

    Richard & Judy Tran·March 2026·11 min read

All-on-4 is the most life-changing dental procedure we help patients with. We've guided dozens of patients through full-mouth restorations in Ho Chi Minh City — people who were told it was financially out of reach at home. Here is everything you need to know.

    What Is All-on-4?

All-on-4 is a full-arch restoration that replaces an entire upper or lower jaw of teeth using just four dental implants. The implants are surgically placed into your jawbone, and a fixed bridge of 10–14 teeth is attached on top. Unlike dentures, the result is permanently fixed — you cannot remove it, and it looks, feels, and functions like natural teeth.

The technique was developed by Nobel Biocare and has been refined over 25 years of clinical use. It's now considered the gold standard for full-arch tooth replacement worldwide.

    Why Vietnam for All-on-4?

The price gap is the most obvious reason, but the quality is what keeps patients coming back — and referring their friends.

    The Implant Brands We Use

We only work with clinics using internationally certified implant systems. The most common at our partner clinics:

    • Nobel Biocare (Switzerland) — the original All-on-4 system, with the largest long-term clinical data set.
    • Straumann (Switzerland) — the world's most widely used implant system, renowned for osseointegration rates above 98%.
    • Osstem (South Korea) — a high-quality, well-researched option at a slightly lower price point. Excellent for budget-conscious patients.
    • MegaGen (South Korea) — reliable and widely used in Vietnam's top clinics.

The All-on-4 Process: What to Expect

The procedure takes place over two trips or one extended stay. Here's the typical timeline for a single arch:

    • Day 1–2: Comprehensive consultation. 3D CBCT scan, digital planning, health assessment. You'll see a digital preview of your result.
    • Day 3: Surgery day. Under local anaesthetic (IV sedation available), the four implants are placed and a temporary fixed bridge is attached the same day. You leave with teeth.
    • Days 4–10: Soft diet, healing, follow-up checks. The temporary bridge is functional but not the final result.
    • 3–6 months later (second trip): Implants have integrated with the bone. Final porcelain bridge is fabricated and fitted. This is your permanent result.

    One Trip or Two?

Most patients do the procedure over two trips. The first trip is surgery + temporaries (10–14 days). The second trip, after 4–6 months of osseointegration, is the final fitting (5–7 days).

Some clinics offer a single-trip protocol using immediate-load implants. This can work well for appropriate candidates — but not everyone qualifies. Your bone density and anatomy must meet specific criteria. We'll assess this at your initial consultation.

    Who Is a Candidate?

Most healthy adults with missing teeth or failing dentition qualify. Key factors:

    • Sufficient jawbone density. If bone has resorbed significantly, a bone graft may be needed first. This is assessed via CBCT scan.
    • Non-smoker or willing to quit around surgery. Smoking dramatically increases failure risk.
    • Controlled systemic health. Uncontrolled diabetes, blood-thinning medications, and certain conditions require specialist assessment.
    • Realistic expectations. All-on-4 is a permanent solution, not a cosmetic treatment — it restores full function.

The Questions You Must Ask Any Clinic

    • Which implant brand do you use, and can I see the product documentation?
    • What is your surgeon's All-on-4 case volume? (High-volume surgeons have better outcomes.)
    • Do you have a CBCT scanner on-site?
    • What does the warranty cover? (Our clinics offer 5–10 year implant warranties.)
    • What happens if an implant fails? (Rare — but reputable clinics have clear protocols.)
